Donations

NOTE:  At this time, YWCA is not accepting donations of any used items After January 1, 2018, we will once again be accepting donations of used items.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

YWCA is a registered charitable not-for-profit organization.  We gratefully accepts donations of cash, gifts-in-kind, services and clothing.

As a registered charity (CRA #108227919 RR0001), tax receipts may be issued to individuals and corporations when they meet certain specifications in accordance with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Donations are used as designated by the donor, eg. cash given to YWCA Harbour House can only be used for that program.

Donations of goods, such as clothing, are also gratefully accepted. As we have very limited space we ask that donations of clothing be seasonally appropriate, be clean and wearable.  For more information, click on 'Donations We Accept' located at the bottom of this webpage (blue bar).

We accept clothing for babies, children, youth and young to middle-aged women.

We go through all donated items to see what we can use, and when the needs are met, or we have run out of storage space, donations may be passed on to another charitable agency.

YWCA Lethbridge & District follows Imagine Canada's Program Standards. The Board of Directors and staff of the Association commit to ensure, to the best of their ability, that the organization adheres to the provisions of the standards.
